Kforce has a client seeking a Desktop Support Specialist - Level 2 in Madison, Wisconsin (WI). Summary:The Specialist provides support for end user technologies, including hardware and software for computers, virtual desktops, monitors, peripherals, printers/copiers, phones, and mobile devices. They will support multiple locations. Responsibilities:
* Document and follow support methods for desktops, laptops, virtual desktops, monitors, peripherals, printers, copiers, fax machines, VoIP phones, mobile devices, and varying software packages
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and provide frequent status updates to end users
* Install and maintain laptop and desktop hardware
* Create, test, and document software deployment package
* Maintain hardware and software inventory
* 3-5 years of experience in corporate end user technologies
* Demonstrated experience with end user technology configuration, upgrades, and repairs
* Strong customer service skills and experience directly supporting end users
* Demonstrate a rational and methodical approach to troubleshooting as well as ability to find creative solutions to unfamiliar problems
Technical experience preferred in the following:
* Windows Administration
* Group Policy Administration
* WSUS / Patching Administration
* LANDesk / SCCM/Altiris
* Systems / Endpoint management
* VMware VDI
* Asset Tracking
