For more information about the DWD, please visit **Position Summary:** This position is responsible for a variety of duties related to grant administration. Such duties include: providing technical assistance to grantees, assisting in the development and application of selection criteria, evaluating grant applications, developing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF) grants program, financial processing, financial auditing, making updates to financial records, and reviewing payments and payment requests for the Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF) program. This position also interacts with external grantees and external fiscal agents of those grantees to assure adherence to Wisconsin Fast Forward administrative rules, policies, and practices for reimbursement and closeout of State funded grants.
**Special Notes:**
Due to the nature of the job duties, a criminal background check may be required prior to appointment.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e. a US citizen or national or a lawful permanent resident) at the time of appointment. DWD does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. This is not a contract position. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.
LTE positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to a permanent civil service classified position, and do not lead to permanent status. Wisconsin residency is required for LTE positions.
**Minimally qualified applicants will have experience with:
* Processing requests for payment, e.g., invoices, remittances, or similar. This includes analysis to determine appropriateness of payment, verifying information, processing the payment in accordance with established procedures, or similar.
* Analysis, interpretation of policies and procedures, directives, rules, or other similar complex information that defines a process.
* Customer service that includes fact-finding, investigation, interviewing, problem resolution, or similar.
**Well-qualified applicants will also have experience with at least one of the following:
* Auditing financial information, or similar.
* Serving as a subject matter expert on an IT project to enhance or improve automated financial systems.
* Complex problem resolution and research related to financial payment processing.
