Position Summary:


Provides high quality food preparation at all times for residents, guests, and staff. Participates in all aspects of food production paying close attention to ensure maximum production of edible portions. Monitors inventory to ensure perishable products are prepared and served without waste. Helps maintain high standards of kitchen sanitation according to our policies and procedures.




Essential Functions




Essential Functions:






+ Assists with food preparation using Company standardized recipes. Assures meal presentation and portion control standards are met according to Company policy and procedure manual.


+ Works the food line during mealtime.


+ Plates food in an attractive manner and ensures that all condiments and garnishes are prepared and served with the appropriate foods according to our garnishing policy. Serves correct portion sizes and therapeutic meals according to our standard portions and therapeutic diets policies.


+ Keeps work area and serving line equipment clean and adheres to sanitation cleaning schedules. Adheres to personal hygiene policy.


+ Ensures proper food temperature maintenance.


+ Keeps stock rooms, coolers & freezers clean and ensures that food supply stocks are rotated, all perishables are covered, labeled, dated and stored properly.


+ Keeps food waste to a minimum by using food storage and food recycling techniques.


+ Attends all required training, in services, and staff meetings. Meets all department training standards through regulatory training and/or other necessary training modules as required.


+ Performs all duties in adherence to Company standards. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Company.


+ Affects budgets by avoiding waste of products and time.


+ Performs other duties as assigned.
















Qualifications




Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:



+ High School Diploma required


+ Basic production cooking experience preferred


+ Must obtain/hold any required local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates
