Project Manager-Senior and Project Manager
## Description
**Role Purpose:**
The Project Manager - Senior is responsible for simultaneously managing multiple medium to large sized projects across the WI region with crossover to clinical, financial and operational aspects of our business. The Project Manager - Senior will have primary accountability for a project and/or initiative by ensuring all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented; establishing and/or confirming guidelines applicable to the project; interacting with physicians and leaders, project sponsors and customers to coordinate activities and tasks; working with management and staff to allocate resources; communicating project progress and issues to sponsors, customers and management; and developing and adhering to project budgets. In addition, this position will work cooperatively with other project managers to develop and maintain a project management methodology and prioritization strategy.
**Responsibilities:**
1. The Senior Project Manager works independently to create and manage project plans (scope, schedule, budget, communication, risk management, etc.) for multiple projects of all sizes and with a high degree of complexity through interaction with users and business area representatives/sponsors/stakeholders across clinic, financial and operations areas for multiple business units. This work requires them to:
a. Liaise with physicians, project sponsors, stakeholders, management and customers and ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are appropriately documented.
b. Facilitate and assist in issue identification, identification of solutions and ensuring proper resolution.
c. Develop and present formal presentations on progress, justifications and details for specific projects to oversight committees.
d. Work with management and planning coordinators to acquire resources for projects and ensure tasks are assigned to appropriately skilled resources.
e. Identify and resolve dependencies and constraints between and across projects by working with project leaders, sponsors and management.
2. Manage project plans using identified communication plans and control the project through change, risk, and issues management.
3. Provide project leadership on clinical and operational projects of all sizes across divisional or entity boundaries.
4. Other duties as assigned.
**Role Purpose Project Manager:**
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for simultaneously managing multiple small to medium sized projects within a single business unit with crossover to clinical, financial and operational aspects of our business. The Project Manager will have primary accountability for a project and/or initiative by ensuring all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented; establishing and/or confirming guidelines applicable to the project; interacting with physicians and leaders, project sponsors and customers to coordinate activities and tasks; working with management and staff to allocate resources; communicating project progress and issues to sponsors, customers and management; and developing and adhering to project budgets.
**Responsibilities:**
1. The project manager will be focused on small to medium sized projects of moderate complexity within a single business unit (clinic, hospitals, or health plan). This work will require:
a. Working with the Senior PM or Supervisor, to create and manage project plans (scope, schedule, budget, communication, risk management, etc.)
b. Liaising with physicians, project sponsors, stakeholders, management and customers and ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are appropriately documented.
c. Working with the Senior PM or Supervisor to manage project plans using identified communication plans and control the project through change, risk, and issues management.
d. Facilitating and assisting in issue identification, identification of solutions and, working with Senior PM or Supervisor, ensure proper resolution.
2. Develop and present formal presentations on progress, justifications and details for specific projects to oversight committees.
3. Work with management to acquire resources (project team members) for projects and ensure tasks are assigned to appropriately skilled resources.
4. Identify and resolve dependencies and constraints between and across projects by working with project leaders, sponsors and management.
5. Other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Required:**
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2. 5 years of experience in project management in a business environment.
3. Minimum of 2 years health care experience.
4. Demonstrated success in planning and executing small, medium, and large scale projects.
5. Demonstrated ability to function at a high level in a dynamic environment.
6. Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organization.
9. The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure while providing a positive image.
**Preferred:**
1. Project management certification.
2. Formal process improvement training, experience and/or certification.
3. Experience with implementing change in an organization.
4. Previous health care delivery experience.

**Required Project Manager:**
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2. Three to five years of experience in project management in a business environment.
3. Demonstrated success in planning, executing small to medium scale projects.
4. Demonstrated ability to function at a high level in a dynamic environment.
5. Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work within all levels of the organization.
8. The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure while providing a positive image.
Preferred:
1. Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
2. Experience with implementing change in an organization.
