Waterway and Wetland Program Section Chief - Career Executive
The Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Waterway and Wetland Program Section Chief in the Division of External Services. This position will be stationed in the DNR Headquarters located at 101 S. Webster Street in the heart of downtown Madison, near the state capitol, the Madison Metro bus route and the Capital City bike path. **Position Summary:** This position is responsible for the management of the Watershed Management waterway and wetland permitting, compliance monitoring, wetland mapping and mitigation, and shoreland zoning programs. This position establishes policies, procedures, strategies and administrative codes related to the waterway/wetland/zoning program activities throughout the state. Responsibilities include supervising and training staff, responding to and resolving customer complaints and ensuring there is adequate support for each aspect of the program.
